About the role

We are looking for an innovative haematology-oncology pharmacist to join our specialist cancer team for a 12-month maternity leave cover.

We have an exciting opportunity for an exceptional pharmacist with Oncology/Haematology experience to join an expanding and forward-thinking private oncology and haematology practice.  This is a part-time (0.4FTE) hybrid role.

There is flexibility with work location, and hybrid working models would be considered for the right candidate. You could be based at either our Hawke's Bay, Tauranga, Rotorua, Whangarei or Auckland (Epsom, North Shore or Ormiston) clinics.

 

Responsibilities

  • Verification of prescriptions and ordering of compounded doses for systemic anticancer treatments
  • Providing clinical advice regarding prescribing and administering systemic anticancer treatments
  • Contributing to the development and review of treatment protocols
  • Quality improvement projects and audits

 

Skills & experience

The successful candidate will have:

  • NZ Registered, Qualified Pharmacist with a current Practicing Certificate
  • Member of New Zealand Hospital Pharmacy Association and or Pharmaceutical Society
  • 5+ years Pharmacy work experience
  • Clinical Oncology/Haematology Pharmacy experience
  • Effective communication skills, both oral and written, IT savvy, self-starter team player
  • If you also have experience with E-prescribing systems or a master’s degree, that would be ideal
