Oncology Nurse
About this role
Due to an internal promotion, we have an exciting permanent part-time opportunity for a registered nurse to join our dynamic team at our Ormiston clinic. Working 8-hour shifts on Wednesdays and Fridays, we offer a supportive working environment where staff development is a priority.
Skills and experience
As an Oncology Nurse, you will assess, plan, and deliver nursing care, ensuring the highest level of customer service and clinical expertise is delivered to our patients and their whanau.
You will provide efficient, effective, and evidence-based nursing care to patients, administering chemotherapy and other systemic anti- cancer treatments.
The successful applicant must have:
- A current annual practicing certificate (Registered Nurse) with the Nursing Council of New Zealand
- NZ citizenship or permanent residency
- Minimum 3 years’ experience in oncology or haematology
- Exceptional verbal and written communication skills
- Commitment to achieving excellence in delivering quality nursing care
A post-graduate qualification in nursing or Health Science, and experience with an electronic patient management system is desirable
