Customer Care Accounts Administrator

We are currently seeking an Accounts Administrator to join our Customer Care team. This role is vital in ensuring accurate and timely invoicing and claiming for patient services, and plays a key part in maintaining the smooth financial operation of our clinics.
This role is a full-time role (40 hours per week), working Monday
to Friday within business hours.
Location is negotiable but you must be based in a Canopy Cancer Care
clinic location in Auckland.
About the Role:
As a Customer Care Accounts Administrator, you’ll be responsible for:
- Generating and managing invoices for patient consultations, treatments, and other services.
- Claiming with insurers, ACC, and patients in accordance with company policies.
- Reviewing and reconciling third-party invoices, identifying and resolving discrepancies.
- Submitting pre-approvals and managing prepayment requirements.
- Responding to billing and claiming queries from patients and funders with empathy and professionalism.
- Maintaining patient records in MYOB Advanced.
- Identifying and implementing improvements in invoicing and claiming processes.
Key Skills & Experience:
- Proven experience in accounts administration or medical billing (healthcare sector preferred).
- Strong attention to detail with high accuracy in data entry and invoicing.
- Excellent communication skills – both written and verbal.
- Proficient in using accounting and administration systems (experience with MYOB Advanced a plus).
- Ability to manage multiple priorities across various clinic locations.
- Commitment to maintaining patient confidentiality and privacy.
- A collaborative and proactive approach to problem-solving and continuous improvement.
