Commercial Manager

As an astute Commercial Manager, you are driven to positively impact business performance through insightful analysis and reporting, effective systems and strong financial leadership.  This role offers the opportunity to shape and mentor a dedicated commercial team, while partnering with senior operational and clinical leaders across all aspects of a growing healthcare group. 

Reporting to the CFO, you will become a trusted advisor to the Executive Team providing robust financial modelling, commercial insight, and actionable recommendations that support and influence strategic decision-making. Focussed on value creation, profitability, and operational efficiency, you will play a key role in helping the business maximise performance, identify opportunities for growth and efficiency, and supporting major strategic initiatives across the Group.

About the role … 

·  Lead the Group's budgeting, forecasting, and long-term planning processes

·  Own consolidated management and board reporting, KPI dashboards, and performance analysis

·  Lead, coach and develop a high-performing team

·  Provide commercial insights and recommendations that improve business performance and profitability

·  Develop financial models, business cases, and investment evaluations for key strategic initiatives including mergers and acquisitions

·  Oversee procurement initiatives, including all aspects of supplier rationalisation, optimisation, new contracts and negotiations.

·  Drive reporting automation, data governance, and continuous improvement across systems and processes 

About you … 

·  CA ANZ or CPA qualified with a relevant tertiary qualification in finance, commerce, economics, or a related discipline

·  Demonstrated experience (ideally 10+ years) in commercial finance, planning and analysis, management accounting, finance business partnering or a related field.

·  Contemporary leadership style, with proven ability to develop a collaborative, high-performing culture

·  Effective communicator, able to influence senior stakeholders and translate complex financial concepts into practical language

·  Strong commercial acumen with expert financial modelling capability and analytical skills, including advanced Excel and Power BI

·  Proven success in budgeting, forecasting, management reporting and performance analysis

·  Proactive and solutions-focused, you can manage multiple priorities in a dynamic environment.
