Clinical Nurse Manager

Our Tauranga clinic has an exciting opportunity for an experienced Clinical Nurse Manager to join our private oncology practice and provide strong clinical and operational leadership. This role is responsible for ensuring high-quality, safe, patient-centred care, while leading, supporting and developing nursing and clinical support staff. The Clinical Nurse Manager plays a key role in service development, workforce planning, quality improvement, and maintaining professional and regulatory standards. Full-time, based at our Tauranga clinic, we can offer relocation support to help make your move easier.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide visible clinical leadership and foster a positive, supportive team culture
- Ensure delivery of safe, evidence-based, and patient-centred care
- Lead, manage, and support nursing and clinical support staff, including performance development
- Oversee rostering, staffing levels, and workforce planning to meet service demands
- Ensure compliance with professional standards, policies, and relevant legislation
- Promote and maintain a safe clinical environment, including infection control and medication safety
- Act as an advocate for patients, ensuring they are informed and supported throughout their care journey
- Drive quality improvement initiatives and contribute to service development
- Work collaboratively with medical, allied health, and operational teams
About you:
- The successful candidate will be involved in ensuring the highest standards of nursing care and customer service are delivered to our patients and their whanau.
- Registered Nurse with current registration and chemotherapy certification
- Demonstrated leadership capability and commitment to clinical excellence
- Postgraduate qualification (or working towards) in nursing, management, or a relevant specialty
- Proven experience in an oncology/haematology senior nursing or leadership role
- Strong clinical knowledge and commitment to evidence-based practice
- Evidence of continued professional development
- Excellent communication and self-management skills
